Tweet King of England (1377-1399). He quelled the Peasants' Revolt in 1381 but spent the rest of his reign at odds with the nobles in Parliament. He was deposed (1399) and imprisoned by Henry of Bolingbroke, who succeeded him as Henry IV. |
