gar·ish (gârĭsh, găr-)
Overly bright or ornamented, especially in a vulgar or tasteless way; gaudy.
Synonyms: garish, flashy, gaudy1, loud, tawdry
These adjectives mean tastelessly showy: garish colors; a flashy ring; a gaudy costume; a loud sport shirt; tawdry ornaments.
